White Rock Lake Park is a gorgeous natural spot for Engagement Sessions! With the trees, bridge, lake, and docks, there&rsquo;s plenty of options for a variety of natural looks here in this park. Plus &ndash; catching a sunset here looks STUNNING off the water!

This Croatian-inspired village is one of the best hidden gems around DFW! This area consists of some shopping, residential, and commercial spaces. But the architecture is just amazing &ndash; and if you love that old world feel, then this just might be for you.

3. Dallas Arts District / Winspear Opera House

If you&rsquo;re a big city girl and just love the urban setting, there&rsquo;s no better place than the Dallas Arts District. Literally everywhere you go around this part of town is clean, pretty, and makes you go &ldquo;wow!&rdquo; And with all the reflections and lines around the Winspear Opera House, this area has many great compositional elements for photographs.

Do you like water? How about a lighthouse? The Harbor Rockwall is a great spot for golden hour, and has a lot of shopping, dining, and entertainment nearby!

One of my recent favorites is actually out in Fort Worth! The Fort Worth Water Gardens has several spots with different fountains, pools, and is overall just a really cool place to hang out.

Similar to White Rock Lake Park, Lakeside Park is a great option for a natural setting! Plus the neighborhood is just so beautiful. If you like the idea of an outdoor engagement session location that&rsquo;s clean and well-manicured, you may like this spot over White Rock Lake Park.

Looking for something a little different? To no surprise, Deep Ellum is a fantastic area to capture your engagement session if you&rsquo;re looking for a place that has more personality, grit, and color. Between the murals, brick, and signs, there&rsquo;s plenty of variety for your engagement session!

If you&rsquo;re already shooting around another location in the city, Trinity Overlook Park can be another great spot to stop by during your session! If you love the city skyline, this is one of those spots that just look so amazing &ndash; especially during a sunset!

When I first heard of this place I thought, &ldquo;A waterfall in DFW?!&rdquo; But yes, it&rsquo;s in Richardson, and it&rsquo;s real. Coming from the Pacific Northwest, I&rsquo;ve noticed waterfalls usually require a somewhat laborious hike&hellip; but this was so easy to get to. If you&rsquo;re looking for something a little more unique, Prairie Creek Park is a gorgeous spot for an engagement session.

10. Mandalay Canal Walk at Las Colinas

Ok, so this one is technically in Irving, but not really that far out and well worth the cost to get a photography permit ($50). I love the architecture, canal, and greenery at this location! And if you want to ride a gondola, that can result in some pretty cool photos too.

"With the lights dimmed and the candles on the cake lit, we all sang a botched yet perfect version of the happy birthday song. As we held out that last note, my grandpa jumped up - lightning fast! He pulled my grandma in for a hug and gave her a big kiss on the cheek. This was more affection than I’ve never seen him show in my entire life. Capturing the emotion and energy in this photo made me think... with my grandparents’ health and memory fading I realized the value of preserving authentic moments and making them real - in print. Photographs have been preserving stories and memories in my family since the 1940’s. Growing up, I always loved visiting my grandparents’ house - which always had walls filled with photos! It didn’t take long for me to pick up an interest in taking pictures.  A serendipitous experience occurs. An idea comes to you that changes your career path or, perhaps most importantly, the day that you meet your love. I want to share with you the moment that lead to my decision that telling your story through photographs as a Dallas Wedding Photographer was what I was meant to do. I was at my Grandma's 80th birthday party. I had just started getting the hang of operating my camera and was taking photographs during the celebration. Sometimes, all it takes is one very special moment in life - where an event happens that shapes your entire future. What happened next was one of those moments that has just stayed etched in my brain. It was on that day I decided that every couple deserves to feel the way my grandparents did in that moment.  Ten years from now, when you re-experience your special day through your wedding album, you will instantly transport back to the memories and feelings of who you love, and why you love them."
